The Red Stripe Music Awards Final!
It may be raining and grey outside, but there is no bleakness in the outlook of The Autumnkind today as we have been chosen to play in the Regional Final of the Red Stripe Music Award in Hitchin on March 19th. At this point imagine all of us jumping in the air and making a ‘whoop’ noise*
*picturing Caleb’s hair rising majestically into a kind of nuclear mushroom cloud shape at this moment is optional
But anyway yesyes, it may be a little out of the way compared to other gigs in London but it’s a Friday night so you don’t have to get up early the next day. As such, there are no excuses … its going to be a wicked night when once again we will aim to rock your very socks off, and we want you all there to cheer us on to victory … they will be judging on popularity as well as performance so if you could shimmy on down we would heart you even more than we already do … which is no mean feat considering how much we heart you already!
Really hope you can make it … we’d love for you to be there at the start of it all, as we tend not to forget those who have helped us on our way
We”ll be playing tracks from The Shipping Forecast, which we are aiming for end of March release, and maybe a surprise or two as well.
Date in your diary folks, do it and feel pride
Us x
